Not only are we furiously updating and posting new articles covering the preseason each day (see below), we’re working on a very, very sophisticated algorithm that will speed up our projection process and make them more accurate than ever, plus we’ll still manually tweak the projections to incorporate injury information and our observations from Greg Cosell’s tape study (very unique to the industry). This algorithm will significantly improve our DFS coverage, and we’ll be rolling out an excel-based DFS tool as an add-on product (and it will be priced lower than anything else out there in the industry).

In addition, we’re beefing up our DB to include even more tools and information to help you dominate in 2015!

Of course, our written content is always king, and we’re at it again this summer updating a ton of articles.

Apps and Tools!

We’re pleased to offer our subscribers some of the best apps and draft tools in the marketplace in 2015, as well as additional preseason drafting tools.

Here’s an overview of what’s going on with all of them:

Draft Tools

Draft Guru iPhone/iPad app – Our 2015 Draft Guru iPhone and iPad app is out. If there are any bugs reported (very minimal issues the first 2-3 weeks of its release), we’ll fix them as quickly as possible, but each update in the Apple Store can take 7+ days to process. There is only one app this year for subscribers (free) and non-subscribers (paid), so if you’re a subscriber and are being asked to pay anything, you’re downloading the wrong app (the 2014 non-subscriber version). Access Draft Guru here or search “draft guru” or “FantasyGuru.com” in the iTunes store to find it.

Draft Guru Android app – The Android version of the 2015 Draft Guru app has yet to be released as we’re ironing out some bugs, but it will be in the Google Play store by July’s end at the latest. Unlike Apple, we can upload the app and have it in the store immediately, which helps. There is not an Android tablet version of this, but it will work on one.

Draft Guru Web App – We’ve released the 2015 web version of the Draft Guru Web App, and we’re hoping to gather up some feedback in July and very early August and add some upgrades to this mock/real draft tool. This Draft Guru Web App page has information on it and an overview of the app.

Draft Analyzer Software – Your FantasyGuru Subscription once again includes a license to the Draft Analyzer software with player projections from FantasyGuru. This is normally $24.99! Add-ons such as league import and draft sync with ESPN, MyFantasyLeague and RTSports are available ($5 per add-on). To access the Draft Analyzer Software, you must be logged into FantasyGuru.com here. There are detailed overviews and explanations of the software on the Draft Analyzer site. We do not handle customer service for this product, so if you have a question please contact them atsupport@draftanalyzer.com

Excel-Based Draft Tools – We also have four different excel-based draft tools that are constantly-updated leading up to the regular season. There’s a pro tool for advanced excel users, a simple tool for non-advanced users, an excel-based cheat sheet creator, and finally an excel-based Auction Draft Tool. All four of these tools include all of our raw projections in excel and you can manipulate them as you’d like. All four tools also include information on their functions, FAQs, etc. To locate these, check the bottom portion of our Subscriber Homepage in the Site Tools section under the Excel header.

Other Apps

MyGuru iPhone app – The MyGuru iPhone app has been updated for 2015 and we’ll be gathering up feedback on enhancements with an eye on and further possible upgrades. As of 7/11/15, there was a small issue of a few of the featured articles not showing up. We’ll fix that, but in the meantime you can always access all articles that we have posted the last 30 days or so by tapping the “all articles” link in the app on the left side navigation panel. In September, it will switch to 2015 regular season mode. Note: This is an iPhone app only, but it works fine on an iPad.

MyGuru Android app – Everything covered in the iPhone overview above applies to the Android version of our MyGuru app, which has also been updated for 2015.

2015 Player Profiles App – Finally, we have published our Player Profiles in an app the last few years. The app costs $4.95 to unlock all players and features. This is the only app we charge subscribers for and if you’re not into paying the small fee, all the content is on the site. Note: This app has been submitted to Apple on 7/9/15, so it should be available in the store in mid-July. Check the 2014 link to see if it’s been updated for 2015 or just do a search in the Apple Store for “FantasyGuru.com Player Profiles” or “Player Profiles” if you’re interested in purchasing it.

Coming soon

We’re working on an excel-based tool that our users will be able to utilize during the regular season to dominate in DFS by comparing player salaries to our projections to isolate the best values, plays, etc. each week of the 2015 regular season.
